Woodless Composite Staircases

You are here:

It is typical for composite staircases to be made with treated lumber stringers and covered with composite kickboards and stringers. The vast majority of these composite staircases built with wooden stringers will experience at least some— and possibly significant— rot in five-to-ten years.

Top Deck’s stair systems are built using unique solid composite lumber stringers that are reinforced using 1/4”x5” aluminum plates with composite treads and kickboards. No wood is used in the building of these staircases. This prevents rot from causing the stairs to loose structural integrity
